Mexe Mexe is a five piece Portuguese band and has been around for about 12 years. The band has 5 Portuguese guys but only one was born and raised in Portugal.
The one and only Carlos Janeiro (lead vocals,guitar and keys) Carlos is one of two newest members of the Mexe Mexe family. Carlos last Band was a well known and adored group from Bradford Ontario called Portugues Suave. . Carlos is from Bradford Ontario, and born and raised in Praia de Mira, Portugal. His passion for entertaining is evident as he brings the songs to life. On guitar and vocals is Victor Casquilho from S. Miguel and born in Toronto. Santana being Victor's idol you can picture his style. On bass and vocals you have Isaac Martins also from S. Miguel and born in Toronto. Playing in Portuguese bands since the age of 14 his love for music is evident because music has always been a part of his life. Jimmy Botelho(drums) from S. Miguel Portugal, born in Toronto Ontario, has been in bands in our community since he was 14. Mexe Mexe is glad to have Jimmy back. On the keyboards, accordion and vocals you have Humberto Domingues form S.Caetano, Cantanhede, also born in Toronto. His energy on stage is sure to get your attention. Mexe Mexe still has one original member from when they started back in 1993. Humberto has been there from the beginning and looks like he'll be there till the end!
