background / biography
Over the past fifteen years Sonhos De Portugal have
been well recognized among the Portuguese
communities of the world. All five members, born and
raised in Canada are very proud of heir Portuguese
heritage and enjoy sharing their talents with the rest of
the world.
In 1997, SDP released their debut album titled
"Juventude". This was a musical first and adventure for
SDP. The album had a great response from the
Portuguese community and helped jump start their musical career.
In 1999, SDP once again released a new album
"Principio Sem Fim", was again welcomed by the
communities. This album was recorded and produced
by Jerry Rodrigues. This album brought various
opportunities to perform across Canada, U.S.A,
Bermuda and Portugal.
In 2001, SDP released again a new CD "A Viver Um
Sonho". Working together with great names in the
Portuguese community like Hernani Raposo, Jose
Mario Coelho (CIRV), Tony Melo (Starlight), Sarah
and Milu Pacheco and others. SDP put together a
project that was once again a huge success and
embraced by the community.
As well as a recording career SDP have been very
successful performing show's around the world. SDP
have shared the stage with the likes of Jorge Ferreira,
Marcus, Starlight, Sarah Pacheco and many more.
SDP have just released their 4th CD in 2006 tittled
“As Mocas D’Agora” and again expect to have great
success and please all their fans, for not the fans of
SDP their would be no success and chance to show of
their talents.
